Regular training is the primary tool to ensure continued growth and development of modern, humane and professional animal service delivery. NCARCA is dedicated to this development of its members and has a mission to advance the health, morale, welfare, training and knowledge of Animal Care and Control personnel by providing information, education and training to animal organizations. While NCARCA provides for, sponsors and supports training opportunities throughout the year, our most comprehensive presentation is the Annual Training Conference.
From a multi-track course offering for both field and shelter staff, an all-star group of expert instructors, to vendors offering products and services you can use, NCARCA’s Annual Training Conference is THE event you should attend!
NCARCA encourages you to review the course offerings, discuss with your agency and attend this year’s Conference. Please complete the Conference Registration form and submit it to the address provided by the deadline date.

Many if not most Animal Care and Control operations are accustomed to dealing with lean budgets. As the pandemic continues to evolve and impact all our lives, agencies’ fiscal protocols may be additionally tightened. While out of town training and travel is seemingly always problematic, NCARCA offers a Scholarship Program for its Annual Training Conference to help mitigate those in need of training with a lack of available agency funding. Scholarships consist of registration fees, two (2) nights lodging and a single (1) admission to the Awards/Elections Banquet being provided by NCARCA.
If you or a colleague are available and would benefit from attending NCARCA’s Annual Training Conference, but do not have available funding from your employer, please complete this scholarship form and submit it to the address provided by the deadline date. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their selection.
Help us recognize your outstanding work by nominating those most deserving in your agency! Often, your tireless efforts at safeguarding the well-being of our animal community goes unnoticed or unappreciated. NCARCA's annual awards seek to remedy that reality and bring State-wide recognition to your professional and compassionate dedication to ensuring the legal and humane treatment of animals. You know who goes above and beyond the call of duty, as well as colleagues who help get the work done. Please take a moment to complete a nomination form for Animal Control Officer of the Year, Support Personnel of the Year and Career Service Award.
Awards will be presented at the next NCARCA Annual Training Conference.
