Bobby started in animal welfare in 2012 then worked his way through the ranks in Person County Animal Service, from animal control officer, animal cruelty investigator, SR. ACO and was promoted to Person County shelter manager. Bobby then found a new opportunity in South Carolina serving as the director of animal services for Calhoun County. In November 2021 Bobby came back to NC and took over as Animal Control Supervisor in Carteret County. While working full time he completed training to become a nationally certified animal control officer with the National Animal Control Association and is also a certified animal cruelty investigator for K9, feline, and equine through the American Animal Cruelty Investigation School when employed with Person County Animal Services. Bobby also serves as a board member for the Southeastern Animal Control Association.  Bobby believes that Animal Control Officers play an important role in the community and it takes people who are dedicated to our mission of promoting and protecting public safety and animal care. Bobby plans to promote education outreach for the community, which include giving public education presentations to help pet owners who are in need.  Bobby has two children, three dogs named Waffles, Pickles, and Remi and one cat named Izzy, and an amazing wife.
