Welcome

We, the North Carolina Animal & Rabies Control Association, Inc. , exist to improve, promote, professionalize, and publicize animal control while promoting justice and equity in the enforcement of animal control laws.  We will advance the health, morale, welfare, training, and knowledge of animal control officers while providing communications and education for animal control organizations.  We nurture the public trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and ethics.

To fulfill our mission, the NCARCA is dedicated to providing a quality work environment and the development of its members through effective training and leadership.

The NCARCA would ask that you visit your home counties animal control website for any rabies clinics that may be coming soon or in the near future.  Just a reminder that G.S. 130A-185 requires all dogs and cats over the age of (4) months must be vaccinated against rabies.

President's Message

Hello to all you animal care professionals and NCARCA members, I hope everyone is doing well.

First of all, I would like to say I am honored to serve as your President during this next year. I certainly have big shoes to fill in following Junior Simmons. I was proud to serve as his Vice-President and I feel the Association accomplished a great deal during his tenure. I’m just going to try to keep “this train rolling along”.

Secondly, NCARCA exists to provide you with information and training to help in the performance of your animal-related duties. I would sincerely appreciate hearing from you on how we are doing and how we could do better. Please contact your county NCARCA representative or me directly, whenever convenient. I promise your input is important and together, we will work to make YOUR Association as representative to your needs as possible.

Regards,

Clai Martin, NCARCA Interim President
